did anyone ever hear of that shotgun golf concept the late and great Hunter S Thompson hit Bill Murray up with... from memory it sounded like fun. you should look into it BP, a few beers and some shotgun golf in the desert - now that sounds fun... hell even a celebrity of my status would come and play that....

His ashes were indeed shot from a giant cannon. I miss HST and his good buddy Warren Zevon as well. I had lots of fun with Warren in the Mid 80's when he was livin in Philly for awhile. Truly an American original and a genius musician. Its amazing---probably my three biggest heroes growin up are all gone---HST,Zevon and Zappa. Where the hell has all the real humor in music gone????!!!! Now back to BP's thread----I gotta get down to Washington music------been meanin to take a road trip there for some time.

You sure it wasn't Newt Gingrich who bought that bass?

I used to see Frank Robinson at Laker games all the time. He had seats near me...but lower

I ran into him at the concessions one game right after ESPN had compiled their 100 greatest athletes of the century and told him it was a crime he wasn't in the top 20. I think he said they left him off the list entirely.

They get a lot of things right, but the blew that one.

Next up was the Washington Nationals Baseball Game. Brian asked if I Needed a ticket broker and I said " Ill just call Frank Robinson" They laughed at Poppa and I left a message and the next thing Frank Robinson is calling Brians cell phone....He called three times to make sure we made it. Frank is a legend and one of the greatest ever to play the game and is agentleman and lets me beat him at golf.....
OK...I'm impressed. Great photo! My bro met him a couple years ago. I got me a Frank Robinson autographed baseball.

I'm guessing Frank plays a Sterling HH??
