Bp,

Just a couple of quick questions:

1. Darn it, why didn't you tell me you'd be there, I would have met you for coffee!!!

2. Did you ask for the "mgr"??

3. When you told him that that was YOUR name on that instrument, did they believe you at first, (ie., look at you funny or anything like that)??? I would have loved to see the look on their face!!

Other than the obvious mishandling of the instrument, that must have really taken them by surprise!! Good, I hope they learned their lesson - shame on them!!

awesome.

well i tell ya BP, I can't say that the rosewood necked SR5 would have less fingerprints but at least as I'd be playing it I'd know the low down and be respectful of it's heritage. :D

You need to do more surprise visits at GCs around the country to save these works of art.

Wow. In Italy they're putting the BFR 20th SR5 in a museum. I'm sure Germany's already got theirs behind glass and Japan is already coveting theirs - I think it has been to many a photo shoots. I'm dying to know the price tag...

BP, the same thing happened in GC PHX when I bought my SR30th..the person who played the thing before me had just eaten pizza or something...When I told the salesman that I didn't want to contract ebola by playing a limited edition bass in your store, he rolled his eyes and handed me a polishing cloth. I realize that Marty has his hands full trying to retain employees, but I think that these guys should at least be taught that some customers acidic sweaty hands can eat right through titanium! If employees can't wipe down the axes themselves, than hand the test-driving, pizza eating, Dave Larue wannabe a tube of Wonder Wipes, and have him (or her) clean up after themselves. (especially on the high-end items) IMHO
In my many visits to GCs' around the country, I have sadly seen way too many fine guitars and basses that have been ridden hard and hung up wet. -Capt. Don

id take better care of that bass than i would take care of bill clinton!! (or gwb for that matter.. just to show i dont discriminate any political standpoints.. long as they pay up :D)

stories to tell are more worth than 50 pages of tech specs!

This is a great example on things the knuckleheads are suppose to be on the watch out for per Marty's request. BP I think you have just set the bar.

If that Bass was GWB, it would have had a broken neck, and people queuing up to throw darts at it !

Hey. Have a little love for conservatives! I don't agree with everything he's done but you don't hear me saying things like that about the Libs. I just talk about balls, that is what we are here for.
