Hi guys,

First Music Man guitar, first post. I got my first Albert Lee last week, new from Musician's Friend. It sounds great and plays well, except for the high E string, which frets out every third note I play. Is this something that can be addressed with a setup, or should I send it back for an exchange?

Thanks!

Here you go.

Note: this happens with the factory 10-46 strings, default setup (with tremolo decked), and also with the trem floating a little. It happens all over the neck, not in a particular region.

Had the same problem on my koa JP when I first got it. Just talk to customer service. They fixed the problem for me quickly, and the guitar is amazing.

I have exactly the same problem on one of my SuperSports and didn't know what to do about it. If it's an easy fix can you send me the info please. No issues with any of my other EBMM's or my other SS for that matter. It's actually stopping me playing the guitar and it's just killer in all other ways.

edit: the slightest first finger vibrato can kick it off the neck. pic attached (looks like I need some fret doctor on that board)
