Hey Folks,

I have a question for all of you. In the GC distribution center at any given time there is about 100 various MM pieces kept in reserve. It is an ever changing selection. If there was a process for you to be able get to that inventory for purchase would it be something you would want to see posted here monthly?

Let me know your thoughts.

Thx,

glen

thanks Glen.

I would think so.
Sometimes the dealers don't have stock, and the thought of waiting months (though worth it) for a specific combination is not that exciting.
I would think if that if the 'reserve' has something similar, one may change their specs to get that instant gratification.

I would think people in areas such as the one I'm in would be most interested. Amarillo's GC never has any MM guitars in stock... at least I've NEVER seen one. They have a few basses. So, if I was able to go in and say, "hey, I really want serial number xxxxxx, would you have that shipped in?" Maybe just have pictures of figured top instruments where possible? But, if they can ship one in to let someone see it, just knowing what the list they have consists of would help a lot I would think.

If there were pictures of those guitars, people would absolutely be interested. In fact, the MM guitars would probably sell considerably more at GC instead of simply in stores. Just my guess.

I think everybody who frequents this forum would agree that the more we SEE the guitars, the more we want them.

I would personally love if that was possible. The one thing I don't like about ordering a new instrument is the wait, so to cut out the wait time would be killer. Also, if there were pics of each guitar, that would be great as well that way a buyer could see the top of the BFR he/she was ordering for example.

+1 though I'm French but I travel a lot and like the idea of serious GAS prior to reach a place in the US :D

Yes, that would be a great help. +1 on the pictures of the guitars (at least the ones with figured woods). Great idea.

I would say it's a great idea but not fair to other dealers! Maybe open it up to other dealers who want to participate. I know for me just 2 weeks ago I had a hard time finding a good source for EBMM guitars and while I found 2 Beautiful guitars it was surprising at how limited the selections were. I don't have a local dealer anymore! and trying them out would be a trip..... Some type of list would be helpful... Pictures could be a plus but I would be happy to see who has a good selection and then proceed to contact them or view them on the website......

I think this is an excellent idea. I don't know how much of a possibility pictures would be due to the fact that you'd have to unpack/open the case to get one, but a detailed list would be informative and appreciated by all, I believe.
