WHAT!!!!

Why is Ebony offered overseas but not here at home!?!

Oh, the pain, the shame and overwhelming G.A.S. :(

First, I am overwhelmed with envy, too, at the beauty of that ebony board. My fellow Americans, I feel your pain. *biting bottom lip in Clinton-esque style*

But let's keep it in perspective. Let's remember all those threads in which the non-USA guys moaned and groaned in pain over the prices they pay versus what we pay....for production instruments.

Recall, if you will, how many Forum Bashes have been held in rather grand style here in the continental United States.

So, while I share your pain, I think it's also kind of wonderful that our foreign members are occasionally offered unique opportunities.

Who's with me?

Mahogany body and string thru! It's like a 30th without being a 30th, which means the tone is deeeeeeep and fantastic. Then you add the ebony for unique-ness.

I'm with you, I think sometimes we forget how lucky we are with the wonderful selection we have of high quality North American Instruments. That's not to say that you can not find a quality product in Europe or Asia, but sometimes N.A. is the only way....

ps, drooling pretty bad right now !!!!!

Very nice and congrats! Simply stunning.

I agree....our brothers and sisters over seas deserve something that is out of our (American) grasp from time to time. I think it is a cool thing.

Well said Bovine.

Back OT.....did I mention that bass is stunning?!?!?!?

I am very thankful to all of you for the great comments and the very interresting discussion (USA <-> Other countries). I say ONE BASS - ONE PLANET ;-) From time to time there are great pieces of instruments in Europe and in the USA too. The disadvantage in Europe is the unbelievable high price for that things. What Ernie (and every other company too) loses in the USA.... he partially takes back from Europe ;-)... simply calculation I think, but for these astonishing instruments, you buy not every day...It's OK.

How are the average prices for new Stingrays (Normal & Special Editions) in the USA ??? In Germany, my bass is priced at about $2,940....cheapest deal about $2,600

Amps & speakers are expensive too.

Greetings!
Bartek
