Randy was nice enough to send us 4 tix to the finals....we were in the semi trendy seats...Raquel Welch was in front of us.....hahahah Best looking great grandmother on earth. It was a blast I had only seen a segment of idol when Randy was playing our bass. It is really hip to hate idol...but I really had a blast and was so happy that the number one show in America Maybe the world is a music based show.

THey really keep in fun during the taping!

That's very cool... I didn't get to see a single episode this season but that's only because of other constant obligations. I'd love to attend a taping.

Glad you guys had such a great time. Randy is awesome!

Glad for You BP! :)

I'm sure it was lots of fun there and I'm glad also that Randy was presenting EBMM product!

I watched Your final Idol at the Oprah show as a Guest, really sings good, real talent!
You USA guys are lucky to have such a talents there! ;)

P.S. ...right now in my country is the same licensed show in semi final, but unfortunately bassman is playing another brand of bass!

Yeah, but so many of the ppl who say they hate it are actually closet viewers. Sure, there are some cheezy aspects of it, but it has produced several REALLY good singers who most likely wouldn't have been discovered otherwise. I'm a sap for human triumph stories, and it's cool to see someone with the fighting spirit and soulful voice of a Fantasia Barrino battle and claim their due on a show like that, and then go on to do some really cool things. I used to work with Adam Lambert's father, so that was kinda weird, in a "small world" kinda way, but cool. Still, every season, I say I'm not going to watch it again ... lol.

Anyway, that must've been fun last night - how cool is that? I've never cared for Carrie Underwood, but I gotta admit, that was a good performance.

Sounds like a nice evening. Your kids over there at the show are much better than the ones that appear in the german copy of the show.

You can be happy about Rock and Country being still that popular in the US. Kids over here tend to be more into the kind of music you do not need instruments for.

Is there a video of the winning performance anywhere?

Not a big fan of the competition, but I always enjoy the Grand Finale. Its always a good show and I had been given tickets to the this show, I would have not hesitated for one second. Hope you had fun Big Poppa!

I think it'll all change once Simon is no longer there though, His ratings are through the roof on that gig.

Glad for you BP, I love Randy, but Simon is the reason I quit watching the show a few years ago. He is an ass. Glad to know he is leaving. That's only my opinion and does not represent EBMM in any way. I can't say that I would not like to have been there though. I can feel a Bongo coming on.

I wouldn't mind seeing the show in person, but I have yet to watch an episode on TV - Idol and Survivor are wayyyyyy down on my list of things to spend time on.

Glad to hear it was as good a time as I imagine it would be!

Awesome BP - would love that opportunity!

Been watching the series religiously since season two with my wife and two sons. It's music and performance based and cool to watch the contestants grow over the course of the season. And the truth is, there is not much on TV these days that a FAMILY can collectively enjoy.

The days of "Happy Days" are long gone...
