I wouldn't mind seeing the show in person, but I have yet to watch an episode on TV...

Same here, Pete, and I often feel left out of conversations at work. I just don't watch much TV, but one of these days I've got check this show out to see what all of the talk is about.

I also agree with BP: it's very cool that a show based on live music is so popular.

Like it or not. Idol is an important show .It employs many musicians on a weekly basis and helps keep live music in the minds of the general public.
And how cool is it that Musicman was represented.

Says a lot about Randy to send 4 tickets and very cool to see an EB bass on the show.
Have thought the same about it being a show that became hip to hate but they have found some amazing and deserving performers and reinforce the positive attributes of music to the kids; all good in my book.
