Hey guys,

I've bought a 7-string Majesty in Polar Noir and it is everything I expected the guitar to be. It's really awesome. Granted it's not new since I bought it used but the previous owner rarely played it and it's almost in top notch condition.

One thing I have realised, though, is that the bridge vibrates whenever I played a B. This is especially apparent when I play the fourth fret on the G-string and bend it very, very slightly so the B becomes a little bit sharp. You can hear the bridge vibrating and you can feel it when you press your hand against it.

I'm not entirely sure whether it was like that when I bought it but I think the problem occured later, after I've had it for a couple of weeks. When I don't play the guitar I keep it in its case and try to take good care of it so I'm not sure why that occurs.

That's why I wanted to ask you guys whether you've experienced a similar thing on your Majesty or on a different guitar. I contacted the previous owner but he told me that he didn't notice anything since he rarely played but that he has seen a similar effect on other guitars with floating bridges.

Cheers

Yeah, after I noticed that I put on completely new strings because I also hoped this would fix the problem. Unfortunately this was not the case and the problem still persists.

It's possible that one or more of the springs are resonating. I would try to maybe stuff some foam under the springs and maybe up past the nut.

Just to be clear: what gauge strings do you use and what do you tune to (standard tuning, 440hz, etc.).
