Bright tones in the bongo?

Ok, well, how bright can the bongo get? I know it has power. But will it get that stringray G tone or that fe*der P-bass with a set of 1/4pounders tone? Or will it get close to that tone, but be a little deeper? I am pretty sure the single H will always be a little deeper as it is closer to the neck... but can the other 2 basses get the cutting stingray "twang"?

The Bongo can probably get as bright as a StingRay can, if not more so. I haven't compared them side by side, though.
