I was reading through this thread and didn't notice the dates at first and I was thinking to myself "Blue Dawn? They do have Blue Dawn!". I guess by re-introducing it as Limited Edition, they are special order and have buyers rather than them sitting on hangers in the showroom waiting to be bought.

And speaking of bright and shiny, what's the difference between a sparkle and a metal flake finish? Has there ever been an EBMM metal flake finish?

One thing I had thought about recently, has there ever been a sparkle type of pickguard? Having sparkles in a pickguard would be a decent way to satisfy the sparkle lovers out there without having to make a whole instrument with it. And, you could remove it for the unsparkle friendly gigs.

By the way, I was asking about anyone including other pickguard manufacturers. I wasn't suggesting that EBMM make them. I have never seen one, that's all.

no, you're not wrong

BP: As a loyal EB/Musicman user and recommender, I'd like to officially request that you re-introduce sparkle finishes as an option. There have been some amazing ones through the years, and surely you must have some old paint cans somewhere in the factory. Specifically, Blue Dawn, the one-off Fuscia Sparkle, and Autumn Redburst would be sweet, but I'm sure there are many others that the great artistes at EB/MM could come up with. And as a dad of a bass player, please introduce at least one "girly" color.

Finally, can you ship them with MM leather jackets and "fetch" shirts? ;-)

Hey Wasabi, I'm with you, especially cuz I wuz sidelined and missed an"07 LE in Blue Dawn ... but, ya know what, I've flipped to a new page and I could get onto the O Trail and also only in opaque, I've sweetened up on Carbon Blue Pearl as a mighty fine shade to getr me away from my woodgrain organic SR5 phase ... but what the heck, it's all academic for me from here cuz I'm still sidelined with a left arm that doesn't wake up with me in the morning from that durned april 1, 2007 CVA I had and the only tunes I can play these daze are on the radio:(

BUt fear not, keep pushing the Sparkle idea and I'll keep having more inspiration to PzoLove again won day soon:)
bass regards,
/PL:)

and I'm not far behind you on the "girlie clrs too ... I'm into purples especially since my trans purp SR5 got ripped off a few years ago:(

Okay, okay - listen, some of you guys have been here long enough to know how talked out the sparkle issue is and some of you don't know, and I appreciate that.

And I also appreciate your enthusiasm for the sparkles, which - AGAIN - I share.

But let's call it a thread, since it's now older than effin' Methuselah, who I am told is getting up there.

Thanks for understanding, and if BP or Dargin have anything to add, they certainly will open this mofo right back up - okay?

Thanks.

Jack
