Hey Forum,
I am unable to play guitar for two months now I fractured my left hand and thumb. Any idea's on how to keep myself involved in some aspect of music? Oh Vicodin is my friend lol.

Spend some time catching up on some music theory. It would probably be the a valuable two months. I had a broken hand years ago and with the help of another forum member I managed to break it again, while it was still in plaster!

Got it in one!!!

Colin you forgot to mention that you broke it on another persons jaw (not mine).

The main down side for Col was that it cut down on his nocturnal activities.

I'm sorry to hear that bro, a couple of years ago, l cut my left hand, and it was bandaged for about 2 months, and l couldn't play, it killed me, but sometimes stepping away and coming back fresh can be a good thing.

2 months will fly, but read up on thoery.

All the best,

Scott.

Man, that sucks. Do as the doctor says and heal up well.

Our drummer crashed on his mountain bike a few weeks ago and broke both arms. This was less than 2 weeks before our CD release show. Oh well, he's on the mend.

If you don't have a drum machine, I would recommend getting one and learning to program it while your on the mend. Personally, I got a Roland DR-770 a few years ago when I had knee surgery. I don't play bass with my knee, I just had some extra time while I was out of commission.
