We can dream, can't we! This is a for-fun exercise. Take whichever components you like from EXISTING (or anything else you know they have the patterns for) and mix-and-match to create YOUR Signature MM. Although EBMM "doesn't do custom work", I'm sure our own minds have already come-up with our ultimate axe.
Here's my "Romancer":
Luke body with quilt premium top; Trans. Orange
Axis SS solid rosewood neck (my fave shape they make)
Gold vintage trem and hardware (chrome would be fine too; I play my guitars)

Simple, isn't it! Big Poppa, if you're listening I'll order this guitar right now and even pay for it up-front! I'm willing to bet that if EBMM offered a "Custom Shop" line (as long as the CAD/CAM stuff existed, a somewhat blank-sheet-of-paper approach), a lot of people would be willing to pay a substantial (and it would HAVE to be)upcharge. It would save me having to go to a great builder like John Suhr and having him build me what is essentially a mild-custom EBMM. I love my Musicmans, and want more Musicmans! Why should I (have to) shop elsewhere?
Mine has no spec for pickups/electronics because I'd gut it and put in some Joe Bardens and RS pots (nothing against EMGs; just prefer passive quiet guitars). I think it would make for a nice trio of Balls with my Silhouette Special (Wagner SRs, RS pots, Megaswitch, piezo, trem) and my Albert Lee Limited 3X90 trem.

Food for fun thought, isn't it? -Eric

My Secret Recipe for a great gig: Double gigbag with my pair of Balls, a Class A combo in left hand, and a Pedaltrain case with all my analog true-bypass pedals in my right. Add head+hands+heart=Memorable night!

I already have a Signature Foggycaster! It's due for production right after the build the RazCaster in 2067!!!!
The Foggycaster is weighs 0 bls, plays itself and is clear in colour. It's the ultimate air guitar for any enthusiast!!!! :p :p :p

There's no need to think up guitars, since EBMM is doing a great job filling the voids. I especially expect guitar-design-craziness to explode in the next couple of years. However, I do think a Stealth Silo would be really cool! But this idea is nothing compared to what they are and going to be doing. :)

I love the Luke.. but I would put slightly bigger fretwire in there, maybe 6150's.. and perhaps my favourite pickups, Rio Grande Muy Grande in HSS, then I would be very happy...:)

Well, they're already pretty close with some of the models they make or will possibly make. The JP F-1 might be very, very close. Depends how it sounds. Maybe, put in a single coil in the middle position. I'd like the pickup selector switch more like the position on an ASS or 20th.

I would've wanted a 20th Silhouette. Only with:

- JP knob & switch placements
- DiMarzio Air Norton and D-Sonic mounted directly into the body
- JP Floating Tremolo
- Rosewood fingerboard, with JP-like inlays
- JP neck specs
- Maybe a slightly deeper scoop than in the original 20th Silhouette body
+ The deeper JP scoop at the back of the body.

... And all this in a beautiful quilted maple top body.
And is available in an optional Koa top. Also available in a 7 string version.

:D

- Steve Morse body & pickguard shape (mahogany + flamed maple)
- Axis S.S. neck (rosewood fretboard)
- Seymour Duncan JB and '59 humbuckers + 3-way switch (tone and volume control for each)
- Wilkinson / Floyd Rose / JP tremolo + locking tuners

This is all I would do different. Maybe new colors.

- JP body shape - NO SIG ON HEADSTOCK
- Axis Neck
- 5 way selector/DiMarzio EVH in Bridge and Humbucker from Hell in Neck. Piezo installed.
- Floyd Rose Recessed Floating Tremolo

Mine would be something like this, the overturned headstock a novelty rather than something I'd particularly want. Would also have stacked humbuckers instead of the normal ones possibly.

The paint, although black would not show marks or dirt and from pick scratches, because they suck! :)

Sweet! I want it! :D

I assume the switch is for piezo! I'd love that offering.

My dream guitars.

There's nothing particularly special about them, other than the fact that they're left handed. I think I'd like a JP6 in the Pearl Redburst without the fret marker designs. That's more of a die-hard Petrucci fan's thing...

As for the Albert Lee, I have been itching to play a Strat-like guitar again; and after watching his performance on the 50th Anniversary Strat DVD and checking out some YouTube videos, I know the Albert Lee guitar would do everything I could possibly want.

I like the Red color of the AL. It's perdy.

Sorry for the attached images link.
