Bummer… missed out on a Y2D

So I was planning to snag a Y2D from a GC in Texas. It has the matching headstock and is priced at $1,199. I called the GC to buy it today and the guy told me that it might have some problems. That didn’t sound good. After he did some research, he called me back and told me that the neck is totally twisted. His tech guy has been trying to fix it for weeks, but can’t get the neck straight. He said that he might be able to do it at a clearance price for me, but I’m not interested in a project.

Dang… I thought that the price was good…. aghhh!!!!

Well if it's new, might be a great deal and send it back to EBMM under warranty to fix it up?

Rob I doubt that it is new, as that price would be way below the price of a new one. Also if the neck was that messed up out of the box GC would of just sent it back themselves. Mystix you are 3 post short of being able to participate in the For Sale Thread on the forum. You will usually find a forumite that will have one up for sale that may be in that price range, as well as seeing what you are buying.The Purple Sunset quilt tops are one of the nicest finishes you will find on any ax.

So gc called me today and offered me the guitar for 700. They said I could get a replacement neck for 300 from music man. Pass

Is it used? Still not that bad of a deal, and you should probably contact customer service to give you advice about the neck.

A grand for Y2D with a new neck is a smoking deal. (And btw, post count doesn't preclude you from being able to look at buying or contacting sellers in the For Sale thread).
