I posted awhile back that I was going to do some mods to the Bunny ASS, well finaly got all the parts and the time.

So I replaced the pearliod tuning knobs with chrome to match the control knobs, replaced the creme neck pup cover with a black one and gave it the fsmith treatment, replaced the bridge pup with a DiMazio DLX Plus, had to get the chisel out but the results are great, this is a different monster now, love this pickup, so before and after pics.:D

You took a chisel to your ball?!?!?!!:eek: You are sadistic, fing.:D

Looks good with the black covers.

Thanks, the chisel part is the fsmith treatment, got the idea to replace the bridge PUP from him, he did it on his all black ASS and he actually posted the pics of him using the chisel, just have to be carefull, the tricky part was not screwing up the piezo:)

I bought the black covers last week to use on my new ASS when it arrives with the cream pickups. Sadly they will get here long before the ASS does. The black covers should go nicely with the Vintage Sunburst.

i'm gonna have to look at these pics some more.....i'm a fan of the cream covers, maybe the black will grow, I guess I only like the cream because my AL's dont have them!

Well it is a Black Cherry Burst so for me black was the way to go, black and chrome.

Just make sure you have a good proper sized Phillips Head screw driver because those cremme pup covers are installed good and tight:D

Keith,
Nice job. How do you like the new pickup?

I've been out of town for a couple of days and the first thing I did last night was grab the black one and have a go at it. I love what that change did for mine. Mr. b's looks very nice too.

Fred,

Thanks, glad you did it first, thats where I got the inspiration to do it, was really simple.

Yea I love the change as well, just sounds great and the middle position is so different, cant describe the output tone but really dig it.

That looks real nice...would love to hear the difference you and Fred get with the new pu.

Don,

Wish I could describe the difference just dont know how to put it in words, Freds may sound different since mine is soldered directly to the piezo, but it is a great tone.

Fing I love that guitar!!
But i'd prefer to see those black covers "in the flesh". Because of the reflections they look kinda
chrome-y.

I gotta say that I like the look of the creme covers.

The chrome pegs are a nice mod.

Just my opinion which at the end of the day stands 4 nought as it's yer axe !!
