Now here's a project > Burnt in a house fire - I bought it last week - tuner knobs melted, backplates all melted -
Pickups made out okay( al little singed and looks like some wax melted out)-
Bridge measures 17.93 K ohms, Neck 15.62 K ohms
Tremolo made it out great after cleaned up> except for the little plastic piece that holds in tremolo with the set screw
Neck made out fine ( Nice and toasted ) Damn Ernie Ball makes good necks!

That's pretty amazing that some metal parts melted but the wood survived!!!

*oops...just re-read the OP....guess it was the plastic parts that melted. My bad..

Tony Levin, once sent back a bass that was in a fire and asked for a warranty replacement, BP tells the story pretty funny if memory serves me right.

That's pretty torched, but you might be able to buy some pieces here and there, or from customer service possibly.

Good luck, Glenn |B)

That's a conversation piece right there - don't do a refin - let it live with it's "history" on full display! :)

Pat Wilkins custom guitars in Van Nuys refurbished an original purple EVH for me. It was damaged in an earthquake. It is now a dead mint, purple beast.

I'm pissed... I thought about buying this and was like, "Idiot. You don't have time for another project." Now I am saying, "Idiot, why didn't you move on that?!?"

So... have you tested the pickups? Do they still work?!?
