It's so buttery! And creamy! And it plays like.....well.....butter! Thanks to Scott for a great SR5 trade! The finish is VERY cool and VERY retro! Yeah! :D :D :D

Glad you like it !

It was so cool I was tempted (for a minute) to offer up my trans-gold-tort SR5...but couldn't do it.

Buttercreme is a super nice color. if they didnt all come with a heatching headstock it would definately be what id order on the 2 PUP sterling when it becomes avail. for order.
Have you seen the headstock in person? I didn't even remember that it was buttercreme but when I got it that was a very big plus for me. Kinda helps make the whole bass appear more retro. And buttery!

My blood pressure is thru the roof! :D

(Seriously) My blood pressure and the treatment there of has led to a sad problem, during the last round of blood work they discovered my liver enzymes were elevated. I guess 40 years of heavy drinking is starting to take its toll. This discovery leads to more test in 30 days, but in the mean time I have stern orders to stop all alcohol intake till the results are in from the tests (that’s the sad part).

The good news is that I decided to just go ahead and quit drinking for good; I finally have a good reason. The great part is the money saved from daily drinking will pay for my first Bongo in three months, (a little under the usual wait time.) I’m married to a CPA, she’s done the math and it’s true! I haven’t had a beer in two weeks and haven’t missed it at all, I feel much better and I’m more into the bass guitar than ever before. :D

Waiting for one of the first lefty Bongo’s is exciting, not stressful. What IS stressful is trying to decide if I should go ahead and order a 5 string lefty Bongo too! (The stress part is telling my wife about this idea, that would put me at 14 basses and only one bass gig… did I mention she’s good with math???)

The new and improved,
Psycho :D :D :D

Hey Todd, good to see youy back Bro'!!! AND congrats on the BC Ray!!!!!!!! It is an amazing finish, and even on the Bongo I get people saying how it's got a vintage vibe because of the finish.
have fun!!!!

Hey Psycho- good for you!

They say the numbers don't lie, and it sounds like things are looking real good for those new aquisitions. I'd hold off on the 5-stringer just a bit, though. Lord knows you've waited long enough for that new Bongo - it deserves a bit of an extended honeymoon without distractions! ;)
