Buying advice needed please?

Guys i want to thank you all so much for the replys it really helped me a lot, this forum is the best, friendly and very informative. OK im pleased to say i ordered my new Silhouette Special HSS today, Black with rosewood fingerboard..its coming Monday and i cant wait!! WAHOO! OK i know it dont exist til i post some pics so i will try and do that asap.

My choice was fairly easy as i wanted to retain some of that single coil Stratish sound..but have the option of a humbucker too so the Special was the choice...the Albert Lee isnt really for me, im sure its an awesome guitar but im not keen on the shape..i guess you love it or hate it..lol!

It seemed the right choice for me for my styles as i do like to play a lil Bonamassa from time to time so the bucker will come in very useful i think.

Wow! No soldering? is it connectors Pete?

That's the nice thing with Musicman guitars with pickguards. You can order new pick guards loaded however you want and they plug in with a simple molex connector.

I'm currently modifying a sub 1 to take advantage of this feature.

Congrats on your choice and I am sure you will be totally happy with it. Now if you stated from the start you like a little Bonamassa at times it would of made it an easier choice.lol By the way you have great taste in players.

Play a Luke before you buy a Silhouette or an AL. In fact play all 3.
Pickups can be changed to accommodate your taste for sound.
I like the Luke.......laid out like a Strat, the neck is fantastic and its a "10" to look at. The Luke is a Stunning guitar especially with a matching head stock. The piezo can be a plus as well.
