Hi Guys. I just got my EB MM sterling (Not sterling by musicman by the way). The bass plays and sound like a dream. My only problem is that regardless of the E string height (2.4 mm to 3.4 mm) the 6 TH fret at that strings rattles. Actually as you can see i can set my action nice low but the buzzes/rattles is only at that fret and only at that string.
As i do myself set ups, i tried to give it some relief, or some straightness without any changes. By he way i change the stock EB string to DR lo rider= same problem.
One tip to be considered:
when i fret the 6th with only ONE LEFT FINGER, IT rattles .. but when i FRET IT WITH ALL MY 4 LEFT FINGERS (think you are doing your 3rth position at left finger) teh rattles stops. Also when i pluck it with my RIGHT finger closer to the neck, there is no rattles, BUT when i pluck it in the middle, at the pickup, the rattles starts¡¡¡
Hey guys i would really appreciate any advices over here¡¡¡

I think that you shouldn't care about it ;) If bass buzz only on 1 fret it's no problem ;) I have similar situation in my bass (fretbuzz on 12 frets on E and A strings). But it's only my opinion ;) Maby your frets are worn or something ? If it's a big problem, you should take your bass to luthier.

Hmm that's strange :/ But in my opinion it's not a big problem that your bass buzz on one fret ;) Small fret buzzez are normally when you want get a low string action ;)

for me, fret buzz on one fret would be a problem, especially if everything else is fine, correct setup, etc...but that being said, talk to the guys at EBMM. They'll fix you up right good....no sense in getting 15 opinions as to what could "possibly" be up with it when you can get it directly from the horses mouth (as it were).

I just returned back to the EBMM fold with an Egyptian Smoke StingRay (again not StingRay by Musicman). Anyway mine too fresh out of the box and with the fret buzz on the 6th fret of the E string. I was able to adjust the truss rod a bit to release some tension and low and behold no buzz - although I do like higher action on my basses so it worked out well for me. I didn't like the idea of messing with the bridge, saddles, etc.

Just wanted to throw my .02 out there. With that said, I would still like to hear what CS said regarding the buzz.
