I liked a lot of those colors, for sure. If I could have gotten Tobacco Burst from the outset, I probably would have, but it seemed like a one-off for JP at first. Oh well... I'm looking forward to whatever else EBMM puts out. Change is good.

I'm still rather skeptical about them completely doing away with these finishes...I think there is more to the story. My skepticism was shared by the few EBMM dealers I talked with today. I have a feeling they'll still be around...

...but I don't believe that enough to keep me from dropping a deposit down on a BFR JP7 today :(

NGD coming soon...

These colors are already gone from the Long & McQuade system.

The Koa option was also discontinued according to our computer system, EBMM staff, is this accurate?

Please, let this not be the case. First Walnut Burst ... hopefully not Koa too ... I love dark and/or "wood-y" finishes ... +1 for the natural-wood-look votes.

I can see most of the those colors not making the grade. But, I'm REALLY surprised about Tobacco Burst. That color looks good on any guitar. Ohh well, it makes room for new BFR colors.

We all know the Koa option won't be around forever. It's getter difficult to source every day and the price point is way too high for most buyers.

For real. I've only seen one red JP BFR ever and that was someone on this board. I know, actually know, two people with emerald ones.

And for the people who are interested in seeing new colors, I implore you to help me figure out what they could possibly be. I have spent the past two days (in my spare time, lol not quitting my day job yet) trying to figure out what new colors they could possibly introduce and am at a loss of possibilities. Before anyone says anything, I too agree that I've invested too much time in thinking about new colors.

Somebody here mentioned a "pink" BFR would look cool. That will never happen because it resembles the Amethyst too much and apparently that didn't sell.
Other color possibilities would be Amber and some type of orange- however both of those would be too similar to the tobacco burst- which also didn't sell apparently.
I think an amber color with the bfr finish would be too harsh a contrast- which is why white wouldn't work either (and the Black finish is already grayish- so....)

The only possibility I could think of, would be if they were to do a finish more like the Cherry Sunburst (red+orange+yellow)- but like a light blue+green. I think those would be the types of finishes they would have to introduce, which would be cool, but I personally wouldn't dig blue+green.

Probably won't bee seeing additional BFR colors anytime soon. Koa is staying around, but they will be Honey Burst and not TB.

Would be kinda cool to see a BFR in like a Whiteburst color. The body would be a white and black quilt. Seen it on another guitar and it looked cool. Idk, just imagining.

Scott, how will that work? Will the guitar be the same kind of red that the Cherryburst is around the edges or something?

So the Koa finish as we know it now is discontinued. I'm interested to see the Cherry Burst version though!

Woah - the Cherry Burst should work really nicely with the Koa grain. Makes me wish that either the JP or the Luke would work for me.

Well I guess I can still keep holding out hope for a BFR Silo Special at some point down the road.

Why is everyone saying Cherryburst in regards to the new Koa? Dargin's original post says Honeyburst not Cherryburst? I think someone changed that when they were quoting him.

Would there be a big difference in look between a honeyburst and a tobacco burst?
