Just wanted to let you guys know that I am being cursed, I mean blessed with a visit from my sister in law and her 4 year old son from today until the weekend. As there will be 4 of us in a small flat designed for 2 people, I doubt I will have much time to come online (*sobs*) - especially as I will be busy trying to protect pretty much everything from a pair of grubby little paws (and no, I don't mean Trev :p )

You all have lots of fun - but not too much else I'll get jealous... and provided I survive till the weekend I shall see you then.

(Fingers crossed the forum is now unblocked at work so I can surf there instead:D )

TTFN!

Sounds like the perfect situation for lessons on the Fundamentals Of Electricity :p
(hint; loosen a few electrical outlet cover plates ;)

is there anything other than small flats in the UK ?? ;)
You'll find out when you come and visit :D

It's not that tiny - I do ironically refer to ours as the "Penthouse", purely because it's in the eaves :)

Boy oh boy am I glad to be at work - I never thought I'd hear myself say that!

Oh there's plenty of room to move AND build large houses, but at the prices they're asking over here, you have to be pretty well off to afford one of those (unless you move "oop north").

When I tell the girlfriend what we could afford for the same money in Canada (a 5 bedroom two garage detached with swimming pool vs. 3 bedroom terraced with on street parking) it just goes to show you how much we must like this country to stay here!

Either that or we are crazy!

Have a good one, Azzy! We'll be expecting a full report when you get back...family visits can (sometimes) make for interesting reading. :D

Phew - after waving them goodbye and being asleep for nearly 5 hours, I now have the place to ourselves again! The inevitable cleaning up (including trying to get watermarks off my unfinished coffee table as they don't like using coasters grrrr) will commence when I can be vaguely bothered :)

And I know the rule - no pics, no family, so here's a group shot:

Does the look on my face sufficiently convey how narked off I am? :D

Nah, in some ways it was nice having them stay - Trev hasn't seen his sister in over a year, so I can't be too grumpy :p
