On a lark I tried some George L's and compared them to the whirlwinds I had...I was suprised to fing there actually is a difference. It definitely opens up your tone a bit, and I figure with 7 or 8 pedals on my board it couldn't hurt to wire it up with them.

I don't mind the thinner cable, I actually like it. I can't see how it could be torn...it just feels a bit odd after using those thicker cables for so long.

With 7 to 8 pedals on your board you need a buffer kid.

It's great that Monster has a lifetime guarantee, you'll need to use it every 2-3 months since they break like glass all the time.

...I must be the exception, since I've had some of mine since Feb 2002, and acquiring the rest up through Dec of same year, with no issues with any of them to this point.

Not trying to instigate anything, Steve...just noting that I don't fall into that category.

Not trying to instigate anything, Steve...just noting that I don't fall into that category.

I know a few people that have had great experience with them, so it's not unusual. I still have a few monster speaker cables that work great with no problems along with 2 pairs of RCA's in my studio.
It's the main cables from guitar to amp that I've had nothing but bad luck with.
And I'm actually very careful with winding them and keeping them in good shape. They just tend to internally break. Plus the oversized 1/4" ends destroy good vintage pedals, input jacks etc...
If you have good experience, more power to ya.... It's good to hear.
Everyone has choices, and I just won't go that rout anymore.
