Question Can a bongo5 HH sound like an SR?

I have to disagree... dime all controls, and it sounds less than desirable, especially through a half way decent bass amp.

Well, that would indeed be to deliberately try to make it sound bad lol

Then along comes some old duffer with a Bongo 5 H and blows all them others away for sound.

why not mod a beat up 3 band ray and and add bongo electronics and give it a go... im pretty sure you could resell the other parts on ebay if you end up liking your results. you could even keep the chrome dome shaped knobs.
