It means that it's an EBMM, and that they produced it. Could it be any more simpler? :p

EBMM only has serials stamped on their plates for the sake of having a serial on the plate, but they are recorded into a database that they can call upon as needed. No "magic number" or "Ancient Chinese Secret" about 'em, etc. If you're nice, Jon or Derek can scope their records and give you the DOB of that beauty.

Also, I never want to see the words "burnt apple" in one of your posts again. ;)

Later!

i thought there was a code like gibson, for gibson, the first and the 5th # are the last two digits of the year of its dob..the the last three numbers determine if its from nashville or kalamazoo...and what number guitar it was on the production line that day ect.... so, its not very simple, now the layman has to call up ernieball every time he gets a new ebmm guitar! wahhhhhhh im gonna go call them...i see this forum isnt the place for this type of question

Well, they're answered, but not always within a day - the guys who volunteer to do that stuff for us have real jobs at Ernie Ball too, so they can't just hang out on line like some of us... ;)
