You can't get a 2 band Ray with piezo. Even if you could, they would never drop it in a sterling, unless your initials are T.L. or D.L.

I remember when my Sterling was on order I checked on the delivery status with my dealer and found that my bass was "in buffing" and I thought - "How about that? MY bass is in buffing!"

I thought it was so cool that I wasn't just getting any bass from an entire production lot, but rather a singularly unique product that was being built just for me. That experience is what led me to think about the ability to request a modification to the electronics, expecting of course to pay a premium for such extra attention. In my case, remove and wire past the MID pot, rendering the MID flat.

Not to be misunderstood re: any disappointment with not having this option available to me - I take nothing away from EBMM. I still feel I have found a superior product from a very "enthusiast-driven" company and my next bass will definitely be an EBMM. And I appreciate all the great feedback and discussion around this topic here - thanks!
