Hi all,

I'll be heading to New york some time before the end of the year. I'd like to know if there are any 30th stingrays lying around somewhere around town. I don't want to bother CS with this, so maybe some local knuckleheads can give me a heads up.

Thanks :D

If you're willing to make the trek into northern NJ, there is one at the Guitar Center on Route 4 in Paramus, NJ.

Then you can swing by my place on the way back so I can play it! ;)
I've been admiring those 30ths around here. Good luck with the search and I hope you find one.

By the way, there are no duties on musical instruments that are made in the U.S. . :)

Yeah, that's what makes this a greal deal........If I find one. I'll have to check to see how far off course the New jersey one takes me. The instrument finder sais there is one at Rudy's near time square, not shure it's up to date though.

Yes, in its case. They are so stunning, Im afraid to play it sometimes, just wanna look at it!

I'm shure they must look awsome in person!!

I know how you feel. I bought another 5 string (non MM:confused:) bass as a beater to play at shows, but usually end up leaving it in it's case. My 20th SR5 sound so damn good, that I always take it instead.......I would need a SR5 20th as a beater so that I can keep the other one clean!!!!;)

I just try to be careful and put it in it's case when not in use. Besides they're meant to be played

Really? Does that include basses shipped into Canada? I needs me a Sterling!

Yes. A friend of mine called the Canada Customs office and stuff that is shipped is included. I am not sure what kind of documentation you need to prove it's made in the US, but that's what they told him. You will still be required to pay the GST, but no PST.

I ordered an X2 Wireless system from American musical a while ago, and was suprised when I wasn't charged duty, PST or GST. They just wrote "made in usa" on the customs form that was stuck to the box.

Lomky, the only thing is US dealers are not permited to sell outside the US. That's why I'm making the trek to NewYork. My girlfriend get to see a nice Broadway show, and I get myself a shiny new bass!!!:D Everyone wins!!!:D

Still no 30th sightings around manhatten?

I'm liking the X2. I've only tried one other wireless system before this one, and found the X2 to have less hiss, more transparent sound, and much easier to use. Oh, and much more compact. Some reviews were skeptical about the plastic, but I sit the reciever on my cab so there is no danger of damaging it.

We still have 2 available for sale, both still in the box/never displayed, but we're in FL. We can ship it to NY no problem if interested in buying....Or are you just looking to see/play one??

Hi Beaver,

I probably would have already bought one from you guys, if you could ship to Canada. The reason I'm looking around NY is that I'll be heading down there some time befor the new year. I don't actually have an address in NY.

I think there might still be one in the GC on 14th st in Manhattan. Worth a look or a phone call anyway. The last time I was there it was there, hanging high up on the wall, figuratively and literally out of reach. :)
