With all this talk of Buttercream, I was wondering if anyone can shed a little light on my purple ray. Never seen the colour again...was this a yearly one off?

I think its a great colour, when polished....

Thanks very much for the compliments chaps.
:D
That is indeed a Status graphite neck, unlined and fretless. A little thinner that the stock MM neck and the tone change has been brilliant.
I would highly recommend them if you fancy a change.

If i can find a way to do it, I will post a pic of the lovely weaved pattern down the back of the neck - its like snakeskin.

That's some fretless porn there. What a pretty bass! You're going to make my wife mad. It's bad enough I'm about to order a GT6B.. I've been looking at some fretless acoustics as well.. now I'm thinking about it seriously.

See what you've done!?!

Have you posted a frontal image of that beauty? If not, can you?

Chris there were these back in February.

Just to update the spec, the Bartolini has gone and been replaced by a Nordstrand 5.3. Wicked. Ducks to avoid incoming. :D

It is truly my favourite live bass and has been used almost every night over the past two weeks as we have been opening for Bill Kirchen and his band who's touring here. That man just gets better and better.
