Can we custom order a stingray?

My local shop don't know many thing about musicman bass option, etc..

so here is my question:

Can i custom order a stingray bass?

All i want is a vintage sunburst, black pickguard, rosewood board and birdseye maple neck stingray..

I don't mind paying extra but i'd like to know if these options are available

Oui et non...

Everything you mention should be able to be ordered with the possible exception of the bird's eye neck. I think that's only an option on the Classic series of Stingrays.

That can be ordered, I don't work for Ernie Ball Music Man but that is not an obscure request. So my guess would be yeah.

The only thing you can't specifically order is the birdseye neck. The rest is no problem.

The nearest fit to your requirement is a Classic Collection Stingray in tobacco burst, with rosewood board and birds-eye maple neck. This would have a two-band EQ, a single H pick up and an ash body.

My experience has been that some dealers weren't aware of the flamed maple v birds eye maple option on these instruments so you need to be specific.

The other alternative, is as mentioned by A Douglas - is to order a regular Stingray - giving everything you've said but birds eye maple not available (if you order in August you could get a toasted birds eye maple neck with ebony board as an upgrade!). You can also specify either 2 band or 3 band EQ - and if 3 band, either H, HS or HH pick up config.

I wish i could of got a birdseye neck . i called their customer service when i ordered my sr5 with no luck....Goodluck

I didn't want to start a new thread, but I was looking to get a Sterling 5 HH in what guitar center's website referred to as translucent red, with a rosewood fretboard and a matching translucent red headstock. Any idea if I would be able to custom order this? Musiciansfriend.com has a picture of this combination, but they don't have it listed as something you can purchase, and I haven't been able to find anywhere that has it.
