This case came with my '83 Stingray (see pics under pics thread). It looks a bit like an old Fender case, except for the fact that the covering has an unusual texture. Is this case a Music Man product or something that someone recognizes? It looks to be older than the bass itself.

It looks exactly like an old tweed Fender case but (I don't know if you can tell from the pics) the material that covers it is kind of a grooved vinyl.

It looks like the early 80's Fender reissue tweed case. (minus the tweed!) The little duck foot leather thingy for the inside compartment looks right. If it has feet on the bottom of the case it probably is one. (by bottom, I mean when the case is laying flat on the ground.)

You could be correct, it's defiantly from the Victoria Case Company, the same cases that Leo used sinse the early days, then under the G&G brand in 1978.

Thank you so much. I bought my bass second-hand and was not sure about the origins of the case. I am glad that it is sort of the case that should go with the bass.
