Hi guys,

Wondering whether maybe someone here would have an answer.

I know from lurking around here that the pricing for the JP15 and Artisan Majesty is known to US dealers (or at least those on this forum who went to NAMM), with some even taking orders already. I believe I also saw a video that JP posted on his Facebook where the Majesty was demoed and at the end of the video it was stated that although production time is currently unknown, EB is starting to take orders for them.

I've called around Canadian dealers here in Toronto trying to get some info on pricing and expected availability, and hopefully put through an order for a JP15, but no place has any information and they can't tell me when they are expecting it.

Would someone in the know here be able to fill me in?

Thanks!

I ordered a Luke III when they were first available to order from L&M (around this time of year), took a few months for it to actually arrive (like 4-5 months) but the price beat couple other retailers located in Port Credit by a couple hundred bucks..not kidding!

Sounds good, thanks for the info! I'm waiting to hear back from Cosmo Music and L&M, but they still say they don't know anything!

When I checked on Majesty pricing last year, it was actually Cosmo Music that was cheaper than L&M, but just by under $200 or so. In any case, I rather go with cheapest since we're already getting hit pretty hard on our conversion rate...that change in the interest rate really hurt the value of our dollar :(

Took 4 months for my PDN JP6 to come in. But that's probably not much longer than how long it would take for the US stores to get anything made & shipped. I'm kind of tempted to get my guy at the local L&M to find out what the pricing will be like.

expected availability

If the guitars are similar to other products displayed at NAMM, I suspect they'll start showing up in May or June in the US and then Canada.

I know "opinions are like body orifices", but why not wait until a few JP15's start showing up on Kijiji? Unless you want something very specific.

LM just posted the "new" price increase because of the falling Canadian dollar. Similar to the past Gibson increase.

Yep, guess I'm sticking with used now. Almost $2600 + tax for an Axis.

Would really appreciate someone from EBMM chiming in...just got told by one of the vendors again today that they don't know anything yet. How can this be??

The dust hasn't exactly settled on NAMM. It takes a bit of time for dealers everywhere to get caught up- keep in mind there's change-up from every vendor and product line, most places carry more than just MM ;)

I had the same thing a few years back when I was itching to get a Y2D and I had to tell the dealer the prices, options, etc. So be patient. Drop EBMM a line if you're really jonesing (they're pretty busy and can't get to every request on the forum). Sometimes that's how it is being up here in the frozen tundra.

Thanks for the feedback, beej!

Will be more patient and keep checking in with them. I may eventually drop a EBMM a line, but something tells me ultimately they'll say to check with me local vendor lol

I'm just jonesin' to get an order for the JP15 in...I figure the longer it takes to get that order in, the longer I'll be waiting.

There's that, and also my desire to get an order in before our dollar plummets further and prices rise again! lol

Long & Mcquade just put all their EBMM guitar prices up by 20-25% in the last couple of days.

Unfortunately I think we'll have to get used to it, the dollar's likely going to get quite a bit weaker.

Just wondering how much worse, though...it's not like we're making more money to be able to even it out. And let's be honest, most everything we buy comes from the south, which automatically means our cost of living is bound to increase.
