To you Cali boys. I wish your Kings good luck. They’re looking good.
I gave Quick, Kopitar & Brown on my fantasy team.

Let Izzy and the Canadians have their Gold Medal in Hockey... Ill just sulk over the silver in the California sunshine (supposed to be 70F or 22C) look at the beautiful girls at the beach and maybe go to a Pro Hockey game (Kings or Ducks) tomorrow since Beautiful Cali has half as many Hockey teams as Canada as a whole... haha
Sheesh PUG ...Like OUCH...Considering where he came from ...Like 2 hours from me...it a VERY rough neighborhood...Maybe hes seen enough Violence.....He rose above it all to become what he is today ...ONE of the PREMIER players in the game.....I wish people would stop judging him .....as i /we could judge your "wimpy" playing and the LACK of style you have when you strum.........i wish you could lay down a better rhythm on your guitar but what can i say ..you DO live in Vegas...so maybe the bright lights have affected your vision .....too bad about your sour beans for a great kid and a FANTASTIC ROLE MODEL FOR KIDS ALL OVER THE WORLD!!!
And dont get me wrong not mad ...Just Sayin'
I was born in (Newport Beach), and lived in (San Diego) California. I agree, it's a beautiful state.![]()
Ok, I'll play
First off there is absolutely no doubt that Crosby is one of the most talented and gifted players the NHL has ever seen and it makes sense to sell him as the face of the NHL. That being said, does he not know he is the face of the league? Sure, he came from a very rough neighborhood and through hard work and dedication, turned himself into a young superstar. He certainly has to realize his every move will be scrutinized, doesn’t he? Waiting for an opposing player to be engaged with a teammate and then repeatedly sucker punching him in the groin from behind makes him on hell of a role model for kids worldwide, right?
Personally, I feel that the handshake at the end of the Stanley Cup Finals separates the NHL from all other sports. This is the epitome of respect for the opponent and the game of hockey. There is absolutely no excuse for his delay to the handshake line when the Penguins won the Stanley Cup. I know, I know, you will probably come back with the media grabbed him and the Red Wings players forgave him. That is not the point, the NHL is selling a product and lives by the “speak bad of the new King and it’s off with your head” mantra. The players know this and the media does as well. He could have just as easily made his way to the line and shook hands, it’s not like they would take the Cup away from him right? In fact, if he would have done this, the level of respect fans would have for him would be ridiculous.
I have always viewed hockey as a sport that is played hard with great respect for tradition as well as the opponent, are youth and exuberance an excuse for a lack of respect?
I guess the bright lights of Vegas haven’t affected my vision that much huh….
…it could be worse though, you could be a Lebron fan and wait for his mommy make excuses for him.

I can't wait to watch my Kings make a run into the playoffs!!!!!!! It's been a long, long time.
Trader!!!!!, Haha just kidding man..I love hockey and am definitely a minority in SoCal. At the same time when you do run across a SoCal hockey fan they are very passionate about the sport and their team. Youth hockey is pretty strong here but the league fees are insane for travel hockey.. I could had purchased two new JP's for the price of my son's league fees this season.. Crazy, but he'll only be 15 once, and I do so much enjoy watching him play. That this alone in priceless in my eyes.
Anyway, congrats to Canada for the victory and I can't wait to watch my Kings make a run into the playoffs!!!!!!! It's been a long, long time.
