Derek, that's great man!! I've never heard of Krank Amps, but it looks like I'll be checking them out.

Man...that is sexy....and the girl ain't bad either.

Krank amps have had some mixed reviews. I played one at the NAMM show with Brian....the cleans were nice in the combo amp he had...the crunch was okay. I would have to try their full line just to see if I would like one....

Yes they get some very mixed reviews, and some very mixed publicity.

I haven't played through one, but from some bands I've heard that use them, they sounded pretty good to me.

Shadows Fall uses them, I believe the Revolution heads. I saw them about a year ago in a very small venue (200 people) and the guitar was very easy to hear.

WOW, That is quite nice on all levels;)

Krank Amps is what Dimebag Darrell was using before his untimely passing.
Have not tried one, mainly due to the shops I go to do not stock them.

Not to diss anyone, but the stuff you saw onstage was mostlikely empty...they've got racks of pres and otherstuff behind the backline that is decidedly NOT Kranktastic. They've got empty headshells onstage for effect and I guess they do use the cabs...but the tones...eh...not krank. I got an advance of the new album @ my job btw, the tones are pretty nice for heavy stuff.

It looked pretty good to me from two feet away. This was a very small place and you could see them hooking everything up, and it really looked like they were playing through them.

Yngwie played there a few months before that, and he had like 19 marshalls, but is was very obvious that he was only playing through one.

I have a pretty good feeling Shadows Fall was playing them, and it didn't sound bad.
