Bought yet another EBMM from the States and waiting for shipping is such a drag. Nice when it finally arrives though (apart from the import duty):)

We want pics.....or it doesn't exist...You know the Rules........lol.....

I'll put some pics up as soon as it arrives, oh and when I figure out how to do it! I'm having an EBMM crisis at the moment lusting after a silo and an AL and the reflex hasn't even arrived yet. I just wish there was more choice in the UK.

Cold, what's the best way to buy an EBMM over there??

I've always bought used from the States, mainly because of the greater choice but they are also cheaper. Having said that, the exchange rate isn't so favourable any more and prices are creeping up on both sides of the pond. I have resisted buying new up until now but am seriously considering going for a new Silo or AL because I can spec it up to my exact requirements. I am lucky to have some premier dealers quite near to me so I'm pretty sure I will make the jump soon.

that's nothing, I ordered my Luke III March 10th, and it's still not in, on backorder from the distributor here in Canada.

Ya know, I kinda like the "waiting" aspect of an EBMM guitar purchase. For some reason it tells me that the wait is because "it's a very special guitar"! Nothing like an EBMM guitar.

I am already a Reflex nut so I am sure you will love yours.

It is tough buying MM guitars in the UK, I have bought several from America and even with the postage and import tax (+3% then +20%) they often work out cheaper than buying them in the UK and as Cold said far more choice when looking overseas as well.

Saying that I have also ordered several brand new, through my dealer and had the pleasure of waiting for them to arrive! (5/6 Months) I have a great relationship with my dealer as I have been shopping there since I bought my first guitar nearly 20 years ago, so they do help me out with really good deals.

Collected it today from the local Parcelforce depot as I couldn't wait for it to be delivered. £230 import duties didn't dent my enthusiasm.

Not had a chance to play much yet but hopefully have a good go over the weekend. First impressions are very encouraging though. It immediately sounds very alive and resonant unplugged compared to my Axis which itself is quite 'lively'. Plugged into the amp and boy what a lovely racket it makes!! I can't wait to get some more playing time and explore the different pickup configurations, but looks like it could very well become the new favourite, well until my AL gets back from being set up.

At this stage I am really happy with it, and the black finish with cream binding and zebra pickups looks soooo nice as well.
