Apologies if this is not be the proper forum for this thread, but I did not see another thread in the other sections and I wanted to convey how much I have been enjoying the Capturing The White Buffalo docuseries. Beyond this, I have been recording tracks for an album this summer and, while stylistically completely different from Jake Smith's music, the videos in the series have given me creative inspiration and motivation on days when mine was low. Thanks Ernie Ball Co for introducing me to this awesome artist and his process! I would love to see more docuseries like it in the future. :)

And to make this post have some EB Music Man guitar content, I just pulled the trigger on one of the finishes/models that I have been eyeing that will be discontinued on October 31. NGD should be Friday (longshot) or Monday. More to follow ...

agt,

Fill me in brother - I never really got "invested" in watching the series - can I trouble you for a two sentence overview?

Kevin,

Jake Smith, aka The White Buffalo, is a singer/songwriter and, as the titles of the different segments indicate, the series consists of interviews and studio and live footage chronicling his inspirations, the songwriting process, the recording process, the touring process, and the challenges he faced recording his new album due out on August 21. It is very well put together -- kudos to whoever filmed and edited it. Each episode is about 8 minutes. The musical genre is not one I would normally gravitate to, but he is a really humble, hard working, down-to-earth guy and his energy, integrity, and authenticity won me over big time. Raw, gritty, and honest with lyrics that evoke emotion. And what a powerful voice!

I kept receiving the emails when each segment was released and I ignored the first few due to how busy my schedule was. I finally decided to watch one and I was hooked and had to go back and catch up on all the previous ones and I have been watching them as they have been released ever since.

10 episodes total with #9 coming tomorrow and the final one next week. Highly recommended!
