Hi all,
I'm saving up for an L3 and I'm about halfway there. (a lot of £ in the UK). I still need to save for another 12 months or so. Anyway I was thinking about the case it'll come with, and my other Luke's have the vintage style G&G cases. Is there ANY way I could order the guitar with one of these cases instead of the moulded case they now ship with? I'd like all my Luke's to have the same cases. A bit OCD I suppose but that's what I want.

Nope, you get the case that they come with. You only other option is to watch EvilBay or your local guitar stores for a G&G case and sell the molded one.

Good luck, Glenn |B)

Thought as much. Shame EBMM don't offer us a choice as consumers. That seems to be how they roll though. So, what I intend to do then is sell the Moulded case and buy a G&G case seperately. Assuming that's even possible.

Not sure if you can buy them from EBMM, you'd need to talk to them, but I'm sure you can find someplace that has G&G cases. I have both types of cases and like them both equally.

Good luck, Glenn |B)

I actually prefer the SKB case. Lighter, more gig resistant. The G&G is a brick.

Here in The Netherlands they only sell the SKB and gigbags seperately. At insane prices. I bet the G&G BFR cases are not for sale seperately.

Yes I remember back in the 90's when I bought my Luke 1, I had to by the G&G case seperately. However in when I got my Luke II it came with the case included.

Anyway, I know some prefer the SKB style cases because they are light & durable, but I prefer the vintage style ones. Like I said, You work hard and save money for a long time to buy your next expensive guitar, and finally getting it is a big deal. Everything has to be right, it's the details that count.

Luc, that bites!!! I'm sure that if you wanted to get a G&G case thru Evilbay it could be done, but it sure wouldn't be cheap. I know how much it is to get one to Cardiff, :D.

The main advantage of the plastic case is that you can leave the trem arm on whereas you have to remove it each time with the other one.

It's funny, I've read a few threads about this, and both my Lukes (1 & 2) fit in their G&G cases just fine without having to remove the trem arm on either. Must be just the way they're set up....
