Damn! now I SERIOUSLY want a Y2D!!!!!!:D

Steve Morse was really killer... I was actually amazed to hear that the 3 main guitars he used were tonally different. And the difference was significant! The black Morse with FR was pretty dull sounding, but it was great for feedbacking. The blue (I think it was No.1) morse was nice and balanced.

But the Y2D!!!!! That was REALLY nice!!!!!! That tone!!!!!!

So nice sounding that I'm really thinking of selling my JP6 for one. *ouch*

Oh well... need to start saving...:(

whitestrat,

I have a "custom made" tobacco burst (flame) y2d that I'm considering selling, and I may even be in the market for a JP-6. PM me if you want to talk about it.

He's a true Great!

Lionel, just remember how much of his tone comes from the fingers. Also, the Engl he uses is a very significant factor for that tone, too. I had a chance to see him in a close setting of a clinic, and there his blue one sounded much twangier (and to me much more like Steve) than the Y2D. What I'm saying is, try them both before You decide!

Well, trying them both isn't an option for me. No ready stock. But I did try teh normal one before, and I remember not liking it. Yes, teh blue one sounds twangier in the bridge. But the Y2D is great on the neck! I like a creamy bridge...

Yep, DP are tops........ my favourite band too.

It is rare to see a band so united together and just wanting to play music with each other for fun... that was music is about. Enjoyment for evryone including the band.

Saw them at London in November 2009 probably the 20th time I seen them since 1972 and they still rock my socks off.

SM in just stunning.. both as a musician and as an individual. Puts many of the back biting musicians out there to shame.
I'd never heard of EBMM guitars until Morse joined DP.

Glad you enjoyed the gig. assume the little red dot stands for Singapore then

Cheers
