Chalk up another converted band...

One of the local acts that I work with, Federal Bison http://federalbison.com/ has just made the switch to EB strings exclusively. They are 2nd year veterans of the Ct Original Music Festival which my store helps sponsor. This past summer I flipped them some EB strings & schwag at the festival. Current strings at the time were D'Addario XL120 & XL110, I don't know what the bassist was using because I hadn't set up his bass.


Last night Bison dropped off their instruments for setups & some TLC, and on the note they left for me I found that they all wanted EB strings this time Previously just the lead guitarist was using .010-.046. Since this summer they have been playing somewhat downtuned, so at the festival I recommended they try the Beefy Slinky, and/or Not Even Slinky.

I'm going to be setting the guitars up today with Beefy Slinkies and SkinnyTop/Heavy Bottom. Bassist wants .045-.100 EBs to go on his new SUB Sterling


Now I just have to work on my cousin's band some more...

I'd definitely work on the band name. Aside from the obvious lift from Gov't Mule, it just doesn't have the same ring to it.
