Well, I finally exhausted the supply of regular Slinky strings that I bought when I got my Pet.
I've been wanting to try Super Slinky strings on there since I've been playing those strings for 20 years.
So tonight I put a set of Super Slinky on there. Somehow, I broke two strings in the process of re-stringing (a .11 B string and a .32 A string). I think I just put too much tension on them while stringing. They both snapped up at the tuner post. Fortunately, I always have about 6 sets of Super Slinky strings around. I haven't broken a string while playing for years and years, and I was a little shocked to break two tonight!
Anyway, I re-strung the Pet and needed a little trem claw loosening in order to get the trem level again. All in all it took 20 minutes.. would have been less had I not broken those strings. I was on the phone most of the time, too, so it really was easy to do.
