Well I did it. This has been years in the making, more or less. First a little background. I have been a big Dream Theater fan since about 1985. Petrucci is probably one of my biggest influences when it comes to playing guitar. Not only his style and personality but his TONE. I dare to say that I love his TONE. He is the reason I discovered and fell in love with Music Man guitars.
As much as I use to enjoy thin flat necks in my early years of playing guitar, as the years progressed and once I purchased my Silo Special, I began to lean towards little rounder necks. I found my self also gravitating towards other styles of music.
While I explored different styles and different guitars, I found my JP6 not as suited for my playing.
The problem was that I loved the way it sounded but it was just so different then the other guitars feel wise that it made it felt awkward.
Fast forward a few years. In the last couple of years I have been playing my Silo Specials for probably 95% of the time. I still enjoy some heave riffing and after purchasing a couple of guitars trying to find my Metal Guitar I realized that I was going to have to build it. (more or less)
When our fellow Forumite had his CBP Silo Special up for sale I could not help but to see it like a sign. As some of you know I also have a CBP SS. I came very close to purchasing one on ebay here last year but I did not have the money. But when I saw this one I knew I had to have it. I saw the oppurtunity to finaly build my Metal Guitar.
Now I warn you the images you are about to see may not be for the weak of heart!

It sounds an feels awesome!!!!!!!! Roubster had set up the trem floating and I kept it. I had forgotten how much fun it was to have a floating trem. There are still a couple of changes coming but are very minor and cosmetic. Sorry for the long post I just wanted to share this with my fellow forumites.
