Changing Necks?

First off let me say that I met BP at a guitar store in Arlington, TX today...he asked me what I thought of the guitar (I was trying out a Luke) then he told me who I was...That made my day...Now to my question...Is it possible to take the neck off of an Axis and put it on a JP?

I think the Petrucci neck is wider at the neck joint than an Axis neck. It might not fit perfectly in the neck pocket.

i really dont know anything about the axis but i do know that the jp neck is the greatest thing to happen to guitar since ive 1987

Sadly, one is a 24 fret neck, and the other is a 22 fret - I don't think you are going to be able to swap them.
