First off let me say that I met BP at a guitar store in Arlington, TX today...he asked me what I thought of the guitar (I was trying out a Luke) then he told me who he was, very cool...That made my day...Now to my question...Is it possible to take the neck off of an Axis or Silhouette and put it on a JP? I didnt know if the neck pockets were the same or not...I like everything about the JP except that the neck is so thin and its seems to be 1 11/16" and not the Axis 1 5/8"...

Yeah, "neck pocket" demensions needed, as well as neck other spec's, such as bridge/saddle radius vs neck radius, scale length, etc. . . . . . ! so, probably not!!

Oh, and by the way, what's BP doin' in Texas??? He's supposed to be comforting an ill friend California!!

The neck pockets are different sizes because of the difference in neck widths. Also, the JP is a 24 fret neck and the Axis is a 22 fret. The Silhouette is a 24 fret, but the neck heel would not be in the correct place to mount it on a JP.

Welcome aboard!

Would a JP neck fit on a Silo? That'd be a sight to see.

BP, are you on a guitar center tour! Please come to NYC. I'd love to meet you, since I missed the Desert Bash. Heck, I'll buy you lunch anywhere you want!

He might be on a GC tour. Recently GC just bought "Lenny" for 600k and PRS is doing a GC tour and so are the custom shop people from Gibson and Fender... so it is possible...
