Changing pickguards!!Can anyone advise me what to do with the black cylinder thingy what is glued to the underneath of the pickguard?any help its a Al sss..thanks

This is the silent circuit so best advise is to unglue it and stick it to the new pickguard

It's held on with an adhesive pad. You can scrap it off and use some Goo-Gone to remove the residue. The tie wrap holder can be bought at any electronics store or hardware store.

I can't see the pics at the moment (my workplace blocks them!), but I seem to remember a double sided sticky tab holding the canister to the underside of the pickguard - hope this helps?
