changing string guages on super sport

I want to change to 10s 10-46 guage,Ive always found 9s a little too thin for me.
Just wondering can I change without any problems,anyone else changed guages?
Really digging this guitar big time,best guitar Ive had,played yet.

Shouldn't be a problem.

Coupla things might need a small tweak- trem tension (if it starts to pull forward too much you might need to tighten it), truss rod (heavier strings will bow the neck more, you'll need to add a bit of tension) and finally you might want to intonate again, though any change would be minor.

if you got a vintage tremolo there should not be so much problems changing gauges. if you have a floating trem (floyd rose) there are more things to pay attention to.
if youre not comfortable with doing setups i suggest you get a good luthier to do it for ya!

*the thicker strings put more tension on your neck so you might need to adjust the relief
*the springs holding the tremolo in place will also notice this added tension meaning it might change the angle its in when tuned. a floyd system with the wrong angle might not return to pitch after you use it and the string height might also suffer from this.
*finally you gonna have to check the intonation. usually needs adjustment...

if youre up to it, go ahead.. if your even the slightest bit unsure get a good luthier to do it for ya!
what was supposed to be a cheap solution might turn into a high priced experience if you dont know what youre doin

I wont have to worry about whammy probs as ive got the non trem version,I am afraid to touch the truss rod as I dont really know what I'm doing there,I do know how to adjust the intonation.
Thanks for the input guys,seems there shuold'nt be much of problem,I'll let the strings that came on guitar wear out,then change to the 10s.
