I look at it this way...

The brass claw and screws will look nice with your existing brass block.

A LOT of people are skeptical that this kind of thing makes any difference. I'm definitely one of them. :D

If you do decide to do this, please do 'before' and 'after' recordings so any tonal difference can be objectively verified. It would be very cool and useful to do!

Just be sure that the new screws are of the *exact same size and thread pitch* as the original screws. (Don't use screws that don't match because you will damage the threads in the holes in the body and with the amount of force these screws are bearing I don't think that is a good idea).

I would surely made a test.

But my JP7 is heavily modded.I use custom pickups made by my specifications,volume/tone push pull (single coil),additional 3-way terminal switch for series/parallel/series out of phase combinations,Russian PIO cap .0.22uF.
I also done shielding and ESP tremolo stabilizator(which improved sustain and tuning stability).

If there is difference It should be hearable. But I`m pretty much sure it would be,not too much as block, but surely it would add something to tone and sustain.

Does anyone know the actual size of original screws on JP7?

And here are some pictures of guitar in anyone finds it interesting to see:

fokin pickups)))) russian invasion! What are specifications of these pickups, BTW?

Yeah they are custom made by Ilya.He is a great guy and very patient too.He listen your every wish.
Pickups are based on Bare Knuckle Nailbomb bridge and neck kind a hybrid between Coldsweat and Emerald.
But of course there are slight modifications from original recipes.

Bridge has unoriented magnets which really gives them more dynamic tone.It feels great and react very well.
And also it has flat poles on frist 3 strings to prevent it from being ice picky for this kid a pickup.

Neck has that high end bite of Cold sweat, its Alnico 5 demagnetised to Alnico 4 level,so it possess that sweet mids of Emerald.
All in one package.

I can`t be more happy really.

well done sir - good luck on fitting it - don't let the screwdriver slip as you will scratch the back of your guitar!! As my Dad used to say "put some protection on, and it won't prove to be a costly mistake" ! :)
