Where is the soul? Don't get me wrong, the kid is amazing, but playing riffs and playing music is 2 different things IMO. Music comes from the heart...I saw no heart there. Let the Jon bashing begin!

Jon, I have to agree with you there. The kids good, hell great, but his playing didn't move me.

Keith and OC's stuff has more heart and moved me more than this kids playing.

pure robotics.

most of todays so called musicians are lacking the feel big time.

I don't have one twentieth of the skill of that kid. But the few notes I do play, You know what I'm feeling.

I this kid on the net a few years ago... he was eight then. Maybe he'll grow into the heart and soul.

You have to understand that 70% of what the kid played were exact, EXACT Paul Gilbert riffs from the first few Racer X albums.

I can't get my jaw off the floor. He's got monstrous chops.

If he learns to improvise and play with feeling, he'll be unstoppable! (He might be able to play with feeling now, but this video was just an exhibition of chops?)

I have to admit it, I liked him!
The bass player seemed lost to me.
And of course the drummer well... it's just so Spinal Tap.
Great stuff

I thought his playing was great considering the age. He is not old enough to have heart and soul. What is he really gonna be writing about in life....how he was potty trained? Or "The bully got my lunch money"?

Very robotic I agree. However, the age and his level were impressive. I think as he gets older, he may get out of the shred for no reason state and find the music.

Bass player? Where? Oh, the guy standing there with a bass strapped to his shoulder.......ok.
