Hey BP,
Did you guys do a Blue Checkerboard bound stingray bass for Namm 1985, been working on this one for awhile and looks like it may come thru. I've yet to see actual photos but the guy claims it's 100%.DJ

Yes we did. We did two for the girl in the Bangles and then afew including one that was made for me with a string ray pu in the bridge position and a sblre in the neck. It was sea foam green w checkerboard binding. It was stolen en route to Germany for a Biff Baby's tour many years ago.

If that bass shows up I will be a really happy guy. That was my favorite and I was so pissed off that it was stolen

Didn't I see that bass In an Instructional Video or something, was the pickup covers on that bass solid, No magnets showing??.
If so I vagley remember seeing that bass, in 1998 or 1999 i did get a call on something like that. a fellow from the UK, But by mistake I had mentioned I knew Dudley and after that his email and phone number never did work, it was shortly after that you had told me this story and it all made sense.

This bass has 1 pickup from what I'm being told, so if it is your bass l'll just get and you'll get it back. No Charge.

I think the bass is in england and I did use it on a Albert Lee instructional video. UKers out there if you see this bass I will make it worth your while to help me get it back.

Dave that is a real kind gesture but I know that this is a different one. That bass was pretty much hand made by dudley (the one you are buying)

Have spotted a NAMM 4 banger with the Status neck that is tickling my fancy at the mo.....think it might be with a look.....

You'd have to be a fool to play BP's stolen bass in public, I'm sure it must be WELL buried! But I will keep my eyes open all the same, as it's also possible the bass has been sold and the new owner may have no clue about its origin.

I've seen the Status NAMM Ray on the bay UK right now, sure is a beaut. There's also a beautiful LE Envy Green SR5 up there right now begging me to buy it. If it wasn't for these Dargie Delights, I might be tempted to go for either of these basses.

Must get UK pricing on the Dargie Delights to make my final decision, but these things are gonna be so cool and so limited, I have a feeling it won't sway my decision. But I'm not looking forward to telling my significant other what I am about to do/have done. Any suggestions on how I may smooth this one over?

Not that it's very likely I will see it, but any chance of a photo of the bass BP, so we can know exactly what we are looking for? If it's on an instructional video, if anyone has a still they can post, it would be much appreciated. Also I'm just curious to see what this bass looks like, sounds pretty kewl.

Ditto that! More than happy to keep my eyes out for it once I know what I'm looking for :)
