But i think you can pull Hank and Ted off of that list right away. Of course me being a Giants fan wouldn't have anything to do with that. 
Ted would be on that list if it was strictly hitting. He would regularly get caught day dreaming in LF and even take practice swings out in the field as the game was actually being played. He only cared about one thing, hitting the ball. If he played today he would get ridiculed for it, just like Manny does. Plus he had no wheels. Hank....oh boy tough call...he played during the late 60's and early 70's tough time to hit the ball. And 3,700hits 755HR is tough to argue with...but numbers are't everything...and a body of work doesnt tell the whole story. He didn't have to deal with the vicious winds that Mays did(back then there was no outfield seats in candlestick it was a horseshoe shaped ballpark and the wind would blow balls back into the park on a daily basis...horrible place to hit before the stadium was rounded off, and even after) Mays could of had another 100 HR's had he not played at the Stick during his prime. The only reason I bring that up is because Mays during his prime was much-much better than Hank and Willie was just as consistent with a much better glove not to mention what he did on the base paths. When it comes to baseball you have to compare era's:
Ruth(1900-1942)segregation
Mays(1942-1984)pitching dominated
Barry Bonds (1984-2007)steroid era(for hitters and pitchers), not saying bonds did them, but he played during that era muah-ah-ah-ah

i was bored here at home..and decided to do some research and help sway people's opinions that Bonds does deserve to be HR King!! So I will not present any stats that don't have to do with the HR.
Barry has been accused of using steroids from 2000-today(2000 was the year b4 73HR) so I am wiping all HR and AB stats from 2000-2007 off of Barry's totals. He also has been accused of not deserving the record because he didn't hit 30+ HR's his first few years in the league. Here's the research:

I live in Atlanta, so I'm a Braves fan, and Im 26.............. so I've never seen Willie Mays or Hank Aaron play.
Barry Bonds is one of the best, no doubt, and alot of people dont want him to break the HR record because of the steriod issues, but he hasnt been proven guilty, he's never failed a test, do all signs point to him using steriods in the past, yes, but still, it hasnt been proven.
They want to put an * beside his home runs total, when he break's Hank Arrons HR record, well, let me ask them this....
Will there be an * beside his career Hits total, what about Stolen base total, will that have an * too?
What about all the pitchers who have struck him out, will they take those SO's vs Bonds away from the pitcher, because it shouldnt count since he was '' on steroids '' ??
Why single out JUST the HR total? If they are gonna put *'s up, make sure their are *'s on everything...... it's silly if you ask me
