Well some advancements have been made, I found a somewhat local guy (3 hrs away) so would be willing to part ways with a 7 month old Luke in Luke Blue mint for a stupid low price. I was gonna wait for a Axis SS or I can buy a new Silhouette HSS w piezo for a good price as well. The only thing about the Silo is that I'm worried the bucker wont be able to play some meaner stuff "80's metal, Zepplin, Ozzy, etc" any last minute thoughts before I pull the trigger on Tuesday?

I regularly play heavier stuff (Ozzy, BuckCherry) using my Silos and Silo Specials...I have no concerns about the ability of the pickups to meet my needs. If you can't get a heavy sound out of a Silo humbucker, I suggest you consider checking your amp....Whether I use tubes (Marshall, Peavey) or digital (Line6), I have no problems.

Thanks for the info grumpyoldman :) Guess I'll just have to pick one, either the Luke and get some goodies "new amp perhaps" or spend it all on a new Silo Spec HSS w piezo. Damn wish I hard more coin :(

The Luke is a great guitar to play. I've thought about one many times and play them at stores often. I think you'll like it.
