Question Classic bridge on a 30th EBMM anniversary stingray

Hello all, i just wanna ask if i can replace the stock bridge on my 30th anniversary stingray with a classic bridge with mute pads?:confused: thanks a lot!
 
The string-through holes on the 30th are further forward on the body than on the Classic body causing the pick guard to be in the way of the larger sized bridge. Even if the pick guard was permanently removed you'd probably have intonation problems. Also extra holes would have to be made for the mute screws which have long shafts extending into the body.
