Classic Retro Burst

I've been GASing for a Retro Burst Classic Ray quite some time (well, actually before that finish was announced) but I'm puzzled a bit since I've seen two different finishes dubbed Retro Burst.

one is the brown/red/amber as featured at this GC listing:

Guitar Center: Platinum


the other one is the black/red/amber burst SR Classic on Bass Central which looks more like the Vintage Sunburst finish:

MusicMan Basses - Classic Stingray 4 string

while both are amazingly beautiful I want to know what exactly I'll be getting since I'm going to be ordering it from a local store, sight unseen.

I got mine at the Philly Guitar Convention last October. The MM rep told me it was the first Retro Burst sold.... here's what it looks like (and the burst does start as a deep brown color on the edges, nice and chocolate-y.)

I just double checked both and they are Retroburst. The inconsistencies can probably be attributed to lighting as mentioned before. Also, different cameras, different settings, etc.

thanks AJ and Rod! GC pics always seemed to have a flair of HDR (which adds extra niceness to the already beautiful instruments).
