Congratulations to Jan Hellman of Stockholm Sweden for the winning bid on Tony's bass. $3850.

Thanks Jan, your new bass will be on its way to its new home in Scandinavia...!!! Thanks from all at EB and CLB.

Here is a message from Jan.

Hi there. Jan Hellman, Sweden, here Good fun. I actually have a 20th Anniversary 4-stringed Stingray that I got new while working in a musical instrument store here in Stockholm back in 1995. This 5-stringed will be a grand companion to my old 4-stringed. ;Good to know that the money will go to a fine thing. And the bass will come to a rather decent home as well. She´ll be well taken care of. Lots of love and low frequencies.

I'm really glad that the money raised by that bass is going to a great cause. BP, you're definitely an inspiration to me, and I am someone who gives to the MS Society regularly (my mom was in her 10th year of it when she passed away) it really touches me that you guys do this sort of thing. Thank you for helping out a good cause and god bless you and the rest of the EB family.

THanks Phil,
WHen Casey got diagnosed they told us he would probably not make it. The depths of that sudden shock and pain will never go away. I made a promise to the DR.'s involved that I would do all that I could to raise both money and awareness for the more than 50 terminal pediatric kidney diseases.

I am blessed with Casey's recovery and proud of how much my friends have stuck with our family and cause.

We sent out a notice to all bidders that the second chance offer sent is bogus! Ebay can do very little about this and suggested that we contact all other bidders. Just to be on the safe side we will change our password!

Thanks for looking out for us!!!!!!

Got the same spoof. I got excited for a second - think I could get that bass for my last bid. Then I saw the "seller's" email address and knew it was a hoax.

Find the fool and string him/her up!!!

I dont respond to any ebay email...I get them from time to time requesting updates, claiming a problem with my acct etc....delete!

I used to do the same thing, until I got one informing me that my registered email address and password had been changed. I went to ebay and was unable to log in, so I had to call them to get it straightened out. Somebody had hijacked my account, but I found out before they had a chance to use it. I'm pretty careful about internet security, but it made me realize that I needed to be more careful.
